All the Little Bird-Hearts by Viktoria Lloyd-Barlow review a mesmerising debut
FictionReviewLonglisted for the Booker prize, this is a darkly vivacious tale of family, fraught friendship and neurodivergence
Viktoria Lloyd-Barlow’s Booker-longlisted debut begins on a bright, cool summer’s morning in the 1980s. For a long time I’ve wanted to begin reading the Percy Jackson series of books and it’s took me until now to start. I’m sure when I was in year six I read this book and loved it but never quite remembered what happened as well as somehow not carrying on to read the follow ups – which by the way is very unlike me.
